Sony Ericsson Walman 350i

Who could ever forget the Sony Walkman that made the world crave to have this crazy contraption that use to have radio and cassette options? Well, practically 25 years later, we see the rebirth of the once popular gadget that took the world by storm. Back then we saw people wearing headphones listening to stations or their preferred music at will. But today, everything has changed.

Today it has come back as a phone and MP3 player rolled into one. While people are continuously patronizing the much celebrated Apple iPods and MP3 players in the market, this modern Walkman is bound to capture much attention not only because of the familiar brand and name but by the design the integrates handy communication with personal music entertainment.

What lets it down though is the tiny internal memory that comes as standard. You’ll have to buy a memory card for it, but it can take up to 4GB and that should set you back less than £30.

When you consider you can get the phone for free, then it’s not a bad outlay and will let you store a few thousand songs which is far more than you’ll ever get through on the way to college.

The handset has Bluetooth, which means it will also work with wireless stereo headsets, but there’s only a basic camera. It’s fine for taking snaps to email or put on the web but print quality won’t be fantastic.
