Keep Everything Organized and Handy in Your Web Browser with Clipix

Like many people who spend all day on the Internet for blogging, working, shopping and facebooking, I use tabbed browsing and I currently have about 30 web pages active simultaneously. This cool feature of the latest web browser versions makes it easy to store everything you need to use now or save for later, but the drawback is that the browser will crash at some point and you need to reinstall the program. Bookmarks help you save all your opened tabs, but if you don’t save them to the hard drive too, you risk to lose everything in case session restoring stops to work. Over time, the number of tabs grows significantly and you won’t be able to keep so many open simultaneously.

To make things simpler and much more efficient, here comes clipix, a cool web tool that works similar to bookmarking, but with social capabilities, which allows you to Clip all the web pages and images you like and organize them in Clipboards. Clipboards can be fully customized so you always know where to find what you need, and set as private or public. You can even group Clipboards into Multiboards and enable Synchboards which allows your friends and family to access all your favorite web items for real-time collaboration. Sharing capabilities of clipix include posting your or others’ clips to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. You can also rate what others are publishing in the clipix Community.clipix seems to be a nice web place to meet new people with similar tastes and you can at any point invite your friends from popular social networking sites to join the community.
The free tool came in handy right when I had to make a large list of jewelry parts, materials and tools required to practice jewelry making techniques at home, my new hobby. It will also help me compare prices between stores and record only the best sources for the items I plan to get. To populate my first Clipboards, all I had to do was to click on the Clip button and save the pages I wanted, along with image, name and description. This way I will be able to keep only a few web pages open in the web browser and access all my saved clips at any time.
I also use tabbed browsing for data entry on an online shop because I like to submit data fast for every product and close tabs one by one. clipix will help me save a separate session for these products so next time when I’m coming back to work, I will only have to open the product pages from the dedicated Clipboard.
Oh, and if you have an iPhone, you should also try the clipix mobile application and take all your clips with you. It even allows you to Clip photos taken on the go.
The first step to start organizing all your favorite web items such as books to read, gadgets to buy, recipes to cook, movies to watch this month, vacation or gift ideas, to-do lists, and even party planning, is to create an account at clipix and drag the Clip button into your Bookmarks bar. It’s that easy. Just let me know how clipix helps organizing your life online.
