To most of us, getting hold of touch screen technology seems to be far off. At the moment, there is no news on whether this dream of most people as far as advanced and easier computing technology is within reach. Microsoft is aware of this and while the Bill Gates’ empire normally aims to satisfy all we can do right now is wait and see.

But to some people, technology can be visualized and conceptualized according to what they are looking for. Technology makes thing easier and with the joint minds of professionals who are apparently trying to send a message across, these concepts, imaginations and innovations may one day pave the way to the much sought after technology that makes future computing a dream for every person known to operate computers masterfully.

One thing we will note today would be the rampant growth and demand for games. Much of these games are brought to consumers via online or through the popular game consoles such as the Playstation 3 and Xbox dream. While many are looking at the negative results like time management and health, a different approach can be garnered from it and this is in the form of liberal arts where they make gamers become creative.

Anyone can have the capability to become a good scriptwriter. Many of us pretty much know what is going to happen in a game plot. Use that intuition from games like Grand Theft Auto and perhaps it can inspire and become good resources from the youth when it comes to molding their individual creative juices.

In order to create a computer game you have to think about the content. You have to write a script. The programming involves logic, math and science. And to understand how you distribute a game you have to get into issues of marketing, sociology, and Internet culture. Panelist Rafael Fajardo, a professor at the University of Denver, says that his program, which teaches teachers how to teach kids to make games, is working to “change the culture of education.” The National Science Foundation has contributed funding.

Is an ultraportable MacBook up in the works? I’m a big fan of the 12″ Apple PowerBook (a.,k.a., AlBook for its aluminum body). It’s small and durable. Sure, it’s not that power-packed, but well-traveled people really do appreciate being able to carry around small computers. With the prevalence of smaller storage devices and more efficient power architectures, I think Apple should seriously consider introducing an ultraportable, or at least bringing back the small notebook.

Apple Insider cites analyst Gene Munster:

“… we also expect Apple to expand the MacBook lineup with one new model.”

That one new model is expected to be the company’s “smallest portable ever,” according to the analyst. While he was initially expecting an ultra-portable device with an 8- to 11-inch screen, he said his latest round of checks now leads him to believe the device will sport a display of approximately 11- to 13-inches.

“That said, we continue to expect the ‘ultra-portable’ MacBook to be Apple’s thinnest and lightest ever. While it may not be as small as we originally expected, we believe this could be the most consumer-friendly way to expand its current lineup of MacBook portables,” Munster told clients. “It will likely be priced between the $1,099 consumer level MacBook and the $1,999 MacBook Pro.”
